On the Atlantic coast, the beaches of Jacksonville host surf camps so children can learn to ride the waves, or you can join a fun-filled pirate cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway at Fort Lauderdale. Alternatively, head to the nearby Big Cypress Reservation to meet the Seminole Tribe, take guided nature walks and even spend the night in a traditional chickee hut.
Glamorous Miami is great for families, too, with open-air movies at SoundScape Park, giraffe-feeding at Zoo Miami and jungle zip lines and lemur encounters at Jungle Island.
