Are you planning your winter short break and torn between the bright lights and great food of an urban escape and the adrenaline rush of a skiing holiday? My I suggest a visit to Vancouver and Whistler where you'll have the best of both.  Choosing between a city break or skiing holiday can cause a real dilemma, because you need guarantee snow and that is not usually guarantee when combine with a city break, but!  Fly to Vancouver and you can have your cake, eat it, and be on world-class slopes a few hours later, without breaking the bank.

If you are a golf enthusiast and heading Morocco we have put together some great places that you can hang out and enjoy your hobby. At these locations you don't have to isolate yourself from you family or partner. They there are spas to relax and rejuvenate or pamper yourself.  There are kids club, tennis, bowling and water parks - activities for the whole family.

As the warm summer’s sun fades and Autumn moves into Winter a different type of thrill seekers emerge thinking of where best to enjoy the white stuff.  Choosing which ski resort to hangout at and checking the weather reports every five minutes to see how snow is falling can be time consuming. We have put together a list of 10 great destinations that we think will appeal to the different type of skiers. We have Jackson Hole, USA to Rusutsu, Japan plus a whole host of European resorts.

The sunny coast of Cornwall is now for a number of things.  Long stretches of impressive beaches, waves that are big enough to surf and the hen-night heaven that is Newquay town centre.  What most people overlook, however, is the wealth of naturally beautiful landscapes and alternative activities on offer for a relatively low cost.

WIND SURFING
Head to Kahului, Hawai’i, on Maui’s north shore, for steady trade winds, outrageous surf and spectacularly blue water.  Rent equipment, take a lesson and get ready to catch some serious air.  At the end of the day, fill up on Hawaiian food and learn about the islands’ culture and history at a luau.

As the second smallest independent state on earth, the opulent principality of Monaco doesn’t require much exploring to discover the array of sports that take place in and around its winding streets and sparkling waterfront.  At only 1.95 square kilometres, it is barely bigger than London’s Hyde Park and trails only Vatican City, as the smallest nation in the world.  This is good for those who paradoxically, enjoy both sport and don’t want to hassle of having to travel for miles for it.

Kronplatz is one of Italy’s larger ski regions with more than a dozen towns and villages linked on to the huge Plan de Corones ski mountain. Plan de Corones/Kronplatz popularity in Europe is hard to ignore, thanks in large part to its astonishingly impressive facilities, including more than 20 gondola lifts, one of only a few resorts in the world to have so many of these fast, comfortable all-weather lifts.

Alpe di Siusi/Seiseralm, located right next door to Val Gardena/Gröden, has positioned itself as a winter wonderland for families, beginners, and anyone looking for a more relaxed winter holiday experience.  The largest high mountain plateau in Europe is also one of the most peaceful , safe and environmentally friendly, as cars have bee banned from the area and instead the ski lifts and gondolas form all necessary transport links.

South Tyrol, Italy’s most northernly region, plays host to the jaw-dropping beautiful mountains of the Dolomites.  And that’s not just our opinion.  The range was awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2009.  The area boasts some of the best ski and snowsport runs in the world, as well 300 days of sunshine every year and a snow guarantee that runs from December to April.  This is clearly the place to be for discerning snow enthusiasts.

Val Gardena is probably one of the best loved ski resort in the world also the most famous ski area in the whole of South Tyrol.  Val Gardena/Gröden is made up of three charming alpine villages; Ortisei at 1236m, Santa Cristina at 1428m, and probably the best known is Selva at 1563m.
