Summer Breaks

The people of Palma know how to start summer with a bang. Each June the day before the Fiesta of St. Juan, residents of the Majorcan capital celebrate with the Nit de Foc (Night of Fire).  Even though the temperature in this region has been rising for several months by now, this midsummer's eve mayhem marks the official beginning of the season.

Malta has long been the Mediterranean's best-kept party secret, but a host of new festivals means the island is now dancing into the big league.  As far back as the 1990s, Malta raves were attracting international superstars, such as DJ Carl Cox, with huge parties often in lush settings that put even Ibiza in the shade.

North Yorkshire is one of the most beautiful parts of Britain. Home to two National Parks - the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors; two walled cities (Richmond and York); 16 National Trust properties (including the beautiful Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal) and no fewer than 27 castles – it’s got the lot.  When Le Tour de France came to the UK the Yorkshire Dales was the starting point.  Therefore, if it is good for Le Tour de France then it is sure to please the cycle enthusiasts and those who see themselves more advance.

The summer of 2014 is a good time to be in the UK, there are a host of high profile sporting event schedule to take place here this summer. Added to the usual fixtures such as Wimbledon, The Royal Ascot, The British Grand Prix, this year we have the Commonwealth Games and Tour de France. So if you can’t make it to Brazil or you want the best of both worlds then spend your summer here in Britain.
